Artist Biography
Rei Reyes, known professionally as remcycles, is a musical visionary and creative being who has taken the world by storm with their genre-bending sonics. With a focus on shifting alternative hip-hop and R&B’s culture, Rei is known for their ability to create transcendental auditory experiences that explore the bounds of time. Hailing from Central Florida, their journey began down south in the church, where they sang their heart out for approval, but their love of music quickly turned into a deeper healing journey that has brought them farther than imagined.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Remcycles received classical training from middle school to high school on trombone, trumpet, and euphonium. They have since taught themselves piano, guitar, bass, music production, and engineering, completing songs for many artists as a songwriter since 2017. Today, Rei continues their musical story as an artist who is focusing on developing remcycles and more social/artistic collectives in the web3 atmosphere and beyond. They have worked previously with Catalog.works, COLORSxDAO and have performed at ETHDenver, SXSW, and other notable events.
Beyond music, Remcycles is a social advocate for trans and queer rights, a lover of cats, and dedicated to creating a more equitable and just world for all. With their unique sound, creative vision, and commitment to social justice, Remcycles is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry and beyond.
